Sunol Pile-up Crash on State Route 84
SUNOL, Calif. (April 12, 2023) — A Sunol crash happened Wednesday on State Route Highway 84 also known as Vallecitos Road, just east of the Vallecitos Nuclear Center.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred around 9:33 a.m. on April 12th and was blocking both east and westbound lanes, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The motorists involved included a silver Nissan Altima, a red Yamaha sports motorcycle, a black Subaru Outback, a beige Honda Odyssey and a white box truck, the report said.
Paramedics responded to help those injured in the crash, but there are no specific details.
Tow trucks removed the Yamaha motorcycle, the Subaru with moderate front and rear-end damage, the box truck and the van due to moderate front-end damage.
Police issued a SigAlert due to the blocked roadway, but it reopened to traffic around 11:04 a.m. after police conducted their investigation into liability for the collision.
