Pedestrian Susan Chavez, 60, Killed in Pacifica Crash on Highway 35
PACIFICA, CA (October 4, 2022) – Susan Chavez was killed after a pedestrian crash on Skyline Boulevard in Pacifica.
The coroner’s office identified the 60-year-old Pacifica woman as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Tuesday.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck Susan Chavez for an unknown reason on Highway 35, known as Skyline Boulevard, in Pacifica.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Police said the driver hit her between Hickey Boulevard and King Drive. The East Bay Times and CBS San Francisco wrote that the accident occurred at about 3:30 a.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the victim lying unconscious on the ground. She sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced Susan Chavez dead at the scene of the pedestrian collision. Meanwhile, police added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the incident.
Officers forced a stretch of Skyline Boulevard to shut down between Hickey and King for several hours after the accident. The cause of the Pacifica pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
