Susan Cobb Killed in Crash on Highway 111 Near Palm Springs
Banning Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision
PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (March 7, 2025) – Susan Cobb, 77, of Banning, died following a two-vehicle crash Monday morning on Highway 111 near Overture Drive in the Palm Springs area.
The traffic accident occurred at around 11:45 a.m. on March 3rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a white Mazda SUV and a black Ford F-150 pickup were involved in the deadly collision.
Authorities reported the Banning woman was driving the Mazda southbound on Highway 111 prior to the collision. Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck crossed into its path and was broadsided by the Mazda.
Susan Cobb was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs where she died from her injuries at 3:14 p.m. the same day, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner.
The driver of the Ford was not seriously hurt, but had complaints of pain.
