Multi-Vehicle Collision Near Highway 29
Napa, CA (May 16, 2022) – Police arrested Susan Perryhinkle in relation to an injury car accident that occurred on Highway 221 Friday evening.
The Napa Valley Register News published an article online reporting a multi-vehicle collision that occurred in the southbound side of SR-221. Officials mentioned the crash involved as many as three vehicles.
Preliminary investigation revealed Perryhinkle, a 68-year-old Sausalito resident, was behind the wheel of a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling on SR-221. Due to the alleged intoxication of the female motorist, she failed to slow down as she approached two vehicles stopped in traffic at the Highway 29 intersection.
Authorities said the Chevrolet rear-ended a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The force from the impact pushed the Jeep to hit a 2014 Toyota Camry.
Shortly after 8:45 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics rendered aid to all the possible victims in the collision, including a 13-year-old passenger in the Jeep.
