Susan Vennarucci Arrested Fatal Pedestrian Crash San Francisco Franklin and Union

Susan Vennarucci, 70, ID’d as Suspect in San Francisco Fatal Pedestrian Crash

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (November 12, 2021) – Authorities detained Susan Vennarucci after a crash that killed a pedestrian in San Francisco.

Police identified the 70-year-old woman as the driver in the fatal accident which took place on Wednesday morning.

The incident happened on November 10 when Susan Vennarucci was driving west on Union Street, approaching Franklin Street, in San Francisco.

Police said for an unknown reason, the driver ran a red light. She then struck a pedestrian, 30-year-old Andrew Zieman, outside the Sherman Elementary School.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived in the Cow Hollow neighborhood. The victim ended up suffering from life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.

Police confirmed that Andrew Zieman died at the scene. The NBC Bay Area and CBS San Francisco wrote that the accident occurred at around 7:55 a.m.

Meanwhile, police soon arrested Susan Vennarucci for vehicular manslaughter and running a red light following the crash. The collision is still under investigation.
