Woman Killed, 3 Injured in Crash on I-10 Freeway Near Desert Center
DESERT CENTER, Calif. (Sept. 22, 2022) — Susana Barcelos Garcia, 56, of Phoenix, Arizona died in a Desert Center crash Wednesday night on the Interstate 10 Freeway in Riverside County.
The two-vehicle crash occurred in the westbound lanes about 7:48 p.m. on Sept. 21st, at Mile marker 120.3 just east of Desert Center, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision at this time. Two motorists collided and four people suffered injuries in the crash, according to a report by CAL FIRE: Riverside County Fire Department.
Sadly, Susana Barcelos Garcia died at the scene, the reports said.
Paramedics transported three others to a hospital with moderate injuries.
Meanwhile, investigators are working to determine fault for the Desert Center crash.
