 Suspect on Stolen Motorcycle Dies in LAPD Police Pursuit 62nd Street and Gramercy PlaceLOS ANGELES, Calif. (Jan. 29, 2020) — One man is dead and another was hospitalized Tuesday night when a police pursuit involving a stolen motorcycle ended in a crash in South Los Angeles.

A man driving a stolen 2004 Suzuki motorcycle died as he allegedly fled police and crashed at Gramercy Place and 62nd Street.

Los Angeles Police Department deputies began the pursuit about 8 p.m. after officers saw the two men on the stolen motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, believed to be in his mid-20s, died at the scene, police said.

Meanwhile, the passenger on the motorcycle, also believed to be in his mid-20s, was transported by ambulance to a hospital, according to the LAPD.

The fatal crash remains under investigation by the LAPD.
