1 Seriously Injured in Sutter County Crash at Highway 113 and George Washington

SUTTER COUNTY, CA (July 23, 2021) – A crash seriously injured at least one person at Highway 113 and George Washington Boulevard in Tudor.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Friday night. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 8 p.m.

The incident happened when a black sedan was trying to pass on the double yellow lanes in the Tudor community of Sutter County. In the process, its driver slammed head-on into another car.

CHP said a total of four vehicles were involved in the collision. They crashed on Highway 113 at the intersection with South George Washington Boulevard

Multiple Cars Collide

One car then crashed into a guardrail in the area. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Central Gaither Elementary.

They found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.

Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP shut down both lanes of Highway 113 at George Washington for nearly two hours following the wreck.

Authorities are still investigating the Sutter County crash.
