1 Killed in Sutter County Head-On Crash Near Highway 113 and Pelger Road
SUTTER COUNTY, CA (October 1, 2021) – At least one was killed after a car crash near Highway 113 and Pelger Road in Sutter County.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the tragic wreck took place on Friday night. Officers reported the accident at about 8:51 p.m.
According to CHP, two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason in Sutter County. They crashed on Highway 113, just south of the intersection with Pelger Road.
Collision Near Robbins and Yuba City
The incident log described one of the cars involved as a Ford F-350 pickup truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene, north of Robbins, near Yuba City.
Medical personnel confirmed that one person died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the lanes of Highway 113 to shut down near Pelger Road for two hours and a half following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Sutter County crash is still under investigation.
