BAYVIEW, San Francisco (April 25, 2016) – Two police officers were injured following a 2-car crash at Phelps Street and Evans Avenue Monday afternoon, according to SF Examiner.
The accident happened at around 5:20 p.m.
Preliminary reports stated that a 2004 white Lexus RX330 SUV suddenly slammed with the patrol car.
The force of the impact resulted in injuries to each of the two officers.
Both were transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment of their sustained pain to the head, neck and chest, and cuts, as mentioned in the article.
Meanwhile, no immediate information on the status of the 76-year-old Lexus driver was provided.
Investigators assigned to handle the case continue to gather more evidence before pronouncing closure.
