Suzanne Ogi, 72, Killed in Fremont Hit-and-Run at Niles Boulevard and Rock Avenue
FREMONT (December 3, 2019) – A pedestrian killed after an alleged hit-and-run accident in the area of Niles Boulevard and Rock Avenue Friday has been identified.
Police said 72-year-old Fremont resident Suzanne Ogi died following the collision on November 29 at around 8:30 p.m.
The incident began when Ogi was crossing the intersection of Niles Boulevard and Linda Drive with her dog. At the same time, a Buick LeSabre was headed north on Niles.
According to reports by East Bay Times and CBS San Francisco, for an unknown reason the driver involved struck Ogi and her dog in the crosswalk.

Paramedics responded and found the woman down and unconscious in the roadway as a result of the collision. They pronounced both Ogi and her dog dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the motorist momentarily stopped, checked on the victim but went back in the car and subsequently fled north on Niles toward Union City.
Police described the suspect as a slender white man in his 50s with gray hair and glasses wearing a lighter-colored fleece jacket and the Buick with apparent front-end damage.
