Suzette Dobb, 79, Killed in Shafter Crash at Central Valley Highway and Fresno Avenue
SHAFTER, CA (April 23, 2021) – A car crash at Central Valley Highway and Fresno Avenue killed Suzette Dobb in Shafter.
The Kern County’s Coroner’s Office identified the 79-year-old Shafter woman as one of the deceased people in the accident on Tuesday.
The incident happened on April 20 when a 2009 BMW 328i was going south on Central Valley Highway. At the same time, a Chrysler Aspen was traveling west on Fresno Avenue.
2 Men Also Dead After Car Collision
For an unknown reason, the two vehicles then collided at the intersection. Police named Suzette Lean Dobbs as one of the drivers involved in the crash.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and found Suzette Dobb injured as a result of the collision. Kern Golden Empire and Bakersfield Now wrote that the wreck occurred at about 4:42 p.m.
They rushed the elderly woman and the other motorist, a man, to a hospital where they died. Meanwhile, medical personnel pronounced a male passenger dead at the scene.
Officers forced the intersection to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Shafter crash is still under investigation.
