SYLMAR (October 12, 2016)- According to KTLA 5 News, multiple students were struck Tuesday afternoon inside the parking lot where Lakeview Charter High School and Triumph Charter Academy are located on Glenoaks Boulevard.
At roughly 2:45 p.m. a 19-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons and collided into a group of students.
A total of five students were injured and transported to hospitals for their injuries which ranged from moderate to minor.
Paramedics also transported the 19-year-old driver to a medical center for his injuries.
Glenoaks remained temporarily shut down for a few hours as the fire department was dispatched to the scene.
No further details have been released at this as it remains unclear if alcohol induced this incident.
