2 Women, 3 Children Injured in Sylmar Crash on 210 Freeway Near 5 Freeway
SYLMAR (February 14, 2020) – A traffic collision left two women and three children injured on the 210 Freeway near the 5 Freeway Friday afternoon.
According to reports by the KTLA and ABC 7 News, the tragic accident involving two vehicles took place at around 2:10 p.m.
The incident happened as two SUVs collided for an unknown reason on the eastbound 210 Freeway near the northbound 5 Freeway transition road.
Los Angeles Fire Department said a 3-year-old boy was ejected from his car seat upon impact. The two vehicles sustained front-end and rear-end damage, respectively, following the crash.

Firefighters along with the paramedics attended to a total of five people, including the toddler, who suffered unspecified injuries as a result of the wreck.
Medical personnel immediately transported all five victims to the hospital where they reportedly listed the 3-year-old in critical condition.
The other patients, a 6-year-old girl, a 12-year-old boy, a 27-year-old woman and a 42-year-old woman, were in serious to fair condition. Their names remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, officers forced all the eastbound lanes of the 210 Freeway to shut down at Yarnell Street as six gallons of fuel spilled on the road. Authorities are still investigating what exactly caused the incident.
