5 Injured in Sylmar Crash on Southbound 5 Freeway at Roxford Street
SYLMAR, CA (November 24, 2021) – Several were injured after a car crash on the 5 Freeway and Roxford Street in Sylmar.
According to the CBS Los Angeles and My News LA, the accident took place late Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:25 p.m.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said multiple vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Sylmar. They crashed on the southbound 5 Freeway at Roxford Street.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
At least one person ended up ejected upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of five people, including two children, hurt.
The patients sustained unspecified injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then took them to the hospital for treatment.
The reports did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced the southbound 5 Freeway at Roxford to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Sylmar crash is still under investigation.
