Motorcyclist Killed in Sylmar Accident on Southbound 5 Freeway Saturday
SYLMAR (September 16, 2018) – A fatal traffic collision involving a motorcycle took place on the Interstate 5 Freeway on Sunday morning, according to The Santa Clarita Valley Signal.
The accident occurred around 11:12 a.m. near Balboa Boulevard.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said a male motorcyclist was going south on the 5 Freeway when for an unknown reason he collided with a BMW in the truck lane of the interstate.

The rider was ejected from his bike following the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin, but officials described him as a Hispanic male, approximately 25 years old.
Meanwhile, CHP did not specify whether or not the driver of the car involved stopped after the wreck. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
