At Least 1 Hurt in Traffic Collision on Golden State (5) Freeway Wednesday
Sylmar, CA (September 23, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run crash occurred on Interstate 5, also known as Golden State Freeway, Wednesday morning.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a traffic collision took place on the southbound lanes of the freeway at Roxford Street. When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found a gray Toyota Camry disabled in the middle of the roadway.
Hit-and-Run Car Crash in Sylmar, September 22
Officials believed another vehicle struck the Toyota, and immediately fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Medical personnel responded to the crash site shortly after 6:45 a.m. According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, paramedics rendered aid to at least one person. The name of the victim and the extent of their trauma have not been revealed thus far.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the hit-and-run crash in Sylmar.
