2 Big Rig Trucks Involved in Sylmar Crash on I-5 Freeway
SYLMAR, Calif. (Dec. 4, 2019) — At least one person suffered injuries early Wednesday morning in a multi-vehicle wreck involving two big rig trucks on the Interstate 5 Freeway in Sylmar.
The crash took place in the southbound lanes of the I-5 Freeway near the Roxford Street exit about 3:40 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person was trapped in a vehicle and had to be extricated by arriving firefighters.
One of the vehicles went over the side of the freeway and fell down onto a street below, police said.
Police issued a SigAlert for the Nos. 4 and 5 lanes of the freeway.
The crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
