Woman, 58, Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Firestone Boulevard
DOWNEY, Calif. (August 4, 2021) – Sylvia Guillen, 58, died in a pedestrian accident on July 29th at Firestone Boulevard and Newville Avenue.
Also, the Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner identified the victim on their website.
A driver in a vehicle reportedly struck the female pedestrian near the intersection in Downey. The woman was walking on the westbound side of Firestone Boulevard, but during the crash wound up in the eastbound lanes.

Additionally, paramedics and fire crews arrived at the scene of the crash just after 4:50 a.m., according to CBS News Los Angeles.
Also, paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures on the pedestrian, police said. Sadly, Sylvia Guillen was gravely injured and died at the scene of the pedestrian accident.
Meanwhile, the driver reportedly stopped and cooperated with the investigation process, according to police.
Authorities seek to determine if speed, drugs or alcohol were factors in the deadly crash.
