Tabitha Boyd, 37, Killed in Oxnard Hit-and-run Pedestrian Accident
OXNARD, Calif. (Sept. 12, 2019) — Tabitha Boyd, 37, died Wednesday night in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Ventura Road.
The woman was initially struck by a dark-colored sport utility vehicle that fled the scene and then she was reportedly run over by several other motorists who also did not stop. Police say Tabitha Boyd was walking in the northbound traffic lanes and died at the scene of the crash.
The Oxnard hit-and-run crash was reported 11:36 p.m. on Ventura Road near Juniper Street, according to the Oxnard Police Department.
The area where she was crossing is in a residential area between Channel Islands Boulevard and Hemlock Street, near the city boundary with Port Hueneme.
Police are investigating the collision as a hit-and-run and are hoping to locate the suspect drivers who fled.
