Pedestrian Killed in Oxnard Accident Identified
OXNARD, Calif. (April 22, 2021) – Tabitha Rushing, 39, died in an Oxnard pedestrian accident back on April 12th on Gonzales Road.
A driver in a Dodge Ram pickup truck struck the woman about 11:55 p.m. on Monday, April 12th, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Also, the collision happened on Gonzales Road, between Harbor Boulevard and Victoria Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Pedestrian Struck by Pickup Truck on Gonzales Road
Tabitha Rushing was walking in traffic lanes when she was struck by the motorist. She suffered fatal injuries and died at the crash scene. It’s unknown if the victim was crossing the roadway or walking near the shoulder in this rural area.
Meanwhile, the driver stopped and cooperated with police investigating the crash.
The CHP Ventura office is heading up the investigation into liability.
