1 Killed in Car Crash at Lierly Avenue and Oak Street Monday
Taft, CA (June 7, 2021) – One person died following a car accident in the area of Lierly Avenue and Oak Street Monday afternoon, the KGET News reported.
Officials said a vehicle of unknown make and model veered off the roadway in Taft. The car continued driving away from traffic. It came to a rest after crashing into a fence near the intersection of Lierly Avenue and Oak Street.
Shortly after 1:50 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location and found the vehicle with significant damage.
Fatal Car Accident in Taft, June 7
Responding paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the driver. Sadly, the man succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. Authorities continue to withhold the name of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the deadly car accident in Taft remained unclear. Given that, detectives stayed at the crash site the whole afternoon to investigate the precise circumstances that led to the catastrophic incident.
