Motorcyclist Killed in Taft Crash Near Airport Road and Highway 119
TAFT, CA (June 4, 2022) – A crash killed a motorcyclist near Airport Road and Highway 119 in Taft.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the wreck at about 1:20 p.m.
CHP said the motorcycle rider and a vehicle collided for an unknown reason in the city of Taft. The two crashed near the intersection of Airport Road and Highway 119.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
The car obtained major front-end damage due to the impact of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel then confirmed that the motorcyclist died as a result of the incident. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the other driver ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck. Officers forced the area of Airport Road and Highway 119 to shut down after the incident.
The cause of the fatal Taft crash is still under investigation.
