TAFT, California (Saturday, January 30, 2016) – The roadway was blocked in both directions after a two-vehicle head-on collision at the intersection of State Route Highway 119 and Golf Course Road. The westbound lanes in particular were blocked completely.The vehicles involved were both Subaru, one red and the other white.The drivers of both vehicles were pinned inside. At least one party sustained major injuries and required emergency transport to a nearby medical facility.
The incident took place yesterday evening at about 9:02 p.m., according to an incident report by the California Highway Patrol, Bakersfield. The fire department was required on the scene to contain a small fire and extricate the injured. Jimm’s Tow cleared the wreckage.
