TAHOE CITY (June 7, 2016)- According to the Lake Tahoe News, Gregoria Martinez-Reyes, 15, and Miguel Ramos-Carillo, 16, have been identified as the two teens killed in a car crash on Highway 267 (Shore Road) Friday evening, June 3rd.
The incident which occurred at around 8:30 p.m., was triggered when the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee identified as Gregoria Martinez-Reyes lost control of the vehicle causing it to overturn multiple times before coming to a rest.
Reyes was pronounced dead at the scene while Carillo later died of his injuries at Renown Medical Center.
Two other 16-year-old passengers who have not been identified each sustained very serious injuries. They both remain hospitalized at Renown Medical Center, per Lake Tahoe News.
Neither drugs nor alcohol seemed to have been involved in this incident, however, police officials believe speed may have been a factor.
