Female Victim Suffers Back Injury
TAHOE CITY, California (August 2, 2016) – A pedestrian was injured in a suspected DUI hit-and-run collision at Lake Forest Road and Meadow Brook Drive Tuesday night, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
CHP said a woman was struck by an unknown vehicle which was apparently traveling at a high speed about 10:07 p.m. The car went into the ditch following the accident.
As per the report log, the victim was found conscious and breathing after the incident. Placer County Sheriff’s officials were on scene and requested for the paramedics to attend to the female pedestrian who suffered a back injury upon impact.
Her name and condition at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, the driver involved fled the area. The motorist was believed to have been driving under the influence at the time of the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
