Victim Pinned Between Two Vehicles in Parking Lot
TAHOMA, Calif. (July 22, 2024) — One person is dead in Tahoma after being pinned between a semi-truck and a vehicle at a shopping center parking lot at State Route 89 near Pine Street.
The collision occurred on SR-89 or West Lake Boulevard at around 12:52 PM on Monday July 22nd 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A semi-truck and a smaller pickup truck were involved when one of them began “rolling backwards and pinned the male subject between them,” the report said.
The person was reported unresponsive and it is unknown the age of the male subject. The fire department responded to the scene and assisted the injured person.
The victim suffered major injuries and died on scene.
Meanwhile, tow trucks arrived soon on scene to remove the damaged vehicles.
Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the fatal accident in Tahoma on State Route 89.
