Woman, Girl Injured in Talmadge Crash at Collwood Boulevard and 54th Street
SAN DIEGO (March 17, 2020) – Two pedestrians were hospitalized after a traffic collision in the area of Collwood Boulevard and 54th Street Monday night.
According to an article published by San Diego Union-Tribune, the accident occurred on March 16 at about 8 p.m. in the Talmadge neighborhood.
The incident began when a Subaru Baja 4-door pickup truck driven by an 81-year-old woman was traveling north on Collwood Boulevard.
Police said for an unknown reason the pickup trick then hit two pedestrians at the intersection of Collwood Boulevard and 54th Street.

Paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the two pedestrians who were injured as a result of the crash. One of them, a 67-year-old woman, suffered an open fracture to one arm and a broken leg.
The other victim, a 16-year-old girl, sustained minor injuries upon impact. Medical personnel took both patients to hospitals for treatment.
Their names and condition at this time were not disclosed. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the elderly driver stopped after striking the victims and cooperated with the officers.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
