Tammi Johnson, 40, Killed in Palmdale Hit-and-Run on Sierra Highway
PALMDALE (July 22, 2018) – A pedestrian was killed after an alleged hit-and-run accident along Sierra Highway late Friday night, according to CBS Los Angeles.
The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Tammi Johnson, of Acton.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said Johnson was walking southbound on Sierra Highway when she was struck from behind by a vehicle. The collision occurred at about 11:45 p.m., south of Vincent View Road.

Johnson appeared to have been killed by that car whose driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
Meanwhile, CHP added that the woman was then hit by another car, a 2006 Volvo S40, which was located nearby.
The hit-and-run vehicle was described as silver, possibly a Lexus NX SUV, that appeared to have sustained front- and right-side damage, including a missing side-view mirror and shattered windshield following the crash.
