Tanya Ramirez, 32, Killed in Fresno County Crash on Whitesbridge Avenue
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (January 24, 2022) – Tanya Ramirez was killed after a car crash on Whitesbridge Avenue in Fresno County.
The coroner’s office identified the 32-year-old woman as the victim in the fatal wreck which took place last week on Friday.
The incident began when Tanya Ramirez was driving a Ford Escape east on Whitesbridge Avenue in Fresno County. At the same time, a Nissan Versa was going west.
For an unknown reason, the Nissan veered in front of her. The California Highway Patrol said the Versa then slammed head-on into the Ford, just west of Bishop Avenue.
4 Injured in Wreck
A Toyota Prius approached and collided with the two cars. The Fresno Bee and FOX 26 News wrote that the accident occurred on January 21 shortly after 8 p.m. near Kerman.
Tanya Ramirez sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics rushed her to the Community Regional Medical Center, where she died.
The driver of the Nissan ended up taken to the same hospital for treatment of major injuries. One passenger from each vehicle and the third motorist survived with minor injuries.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the eastbound and westbound lanes of Whitesbridge Avenue to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Fresno County crash is still under investigation.
