Pedestrian and Driver Injured in Tarzana Crash on Ventura Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 7, 2022) – A crash left a pedestrian and a driver injured on Ventura Boulevard in the Tarzana neighborhood.
According to the CBS Los Angeles and My News LA, the accident took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at about 3:30 p.m.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said the incident happened when two cars collided for an unknown reason in Tarzana. At least one of them struck a pedestrian in the 19500 block of West Ventura Boulevard.
Victim Hit by Car
The pedestrian ended up trapped underneath the vehicle as a result of the incident. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and rescued the victim.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. A driver involved sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of Ventura Boulevard to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Tarzana crash is still under investigation.
