Pedestrian Tecle Ande, 76, Killed in Los Angeles Crash on Jefferson Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 19, 2023) – Tecle Ande was killed after a pedestrian crash killed on Jefferson Boulevard in Los Angeles.
The coroner’s office identified the 76-year-old man as the victim in the fatal accident which took place on Friday.
Los Angeles police said the incident happened when a vehicle struck Tecle Ande near the Jefferson Park and Adams-Normandie areas of the city.
Man Hit by Vehicle
For an unknown reason, the driver then hit the transient man as he crossed Jefferson Boulevard. The impact knocked him onto the ground near Western Avenue and Hobart Boulevard.
The CBS Los Angeles and My News LA wrote that the collision occurred on February 17 at around 7:20 p.m. Tecle Ande soon died at the scene of the pedestrian accident.
Meanwhile, police added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. A stretch of Jefferson Boulevard ended up shut down for a time as a result of the collision.
The cause of the Jefferson Park pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
