Teen and Rick Thomas ID’d as Suspects in Turlock Hit-and-Run Crash
TURLOCK, CA (November 3, 2021) – Authorities detained a teen and Rick Thomas after a hit-and-run crash in Turlock.
Police identified the 16-year-old boy and the 36-year-old man as suspects in the collision which took place on September 23.
The incident began when the 16-year-old boy was driving a car with Rick Thomas as his passenger in Turlock. At the same time, a 41-year-old man was walking at the intersection of Lander and East Glenwood avenues.
Police said for an unknown reason, the boy then struck the pedestrian. The ABC 10 News and CBS Sacramento wrote that the accident occurred shortly before 11 p.m.

The victim sustained a traumatic brain injury as a result of the collision. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital and listed him in critical condition.
The reports did not release the name of the wounded patient. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the teen driver did not stop to help the man and fled the area.
He returned to the scene after a witness followed and told him to go back. Police determined that Rick Thomas told the boy to again leave the crash site.
Officers charged the 16-year-old motorist for leaving the scene of the collision. They charged Rick Thomas for being an accessory to the crime of the hit-and-run incident.
