Girl Killed in Car Accident in Terra Bella
TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 25, 2018) – A 15-year-old girl died Wednesday afternoon after her bicycle collided with a vehicle in Terra Bella.
The crash took place about 3 p.m. as the teenage girl was riding her bike on Avenue 88, near Road 256, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Police were told the teenager failed to stop at a stop sign and drove into the path of a vehicle. The driver attempted to avoid the crash, but was unable to. The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet.
Tulare County Crash Investigation
Police are reviewing the evidence and any witness statements to determine fault. The investigation will also consist of looking at measurements of evidence left by the vehicles such as point of impact, final resting positions of the vehicles, skid marks, and gouge marks.
