Teenage Boy Killed in E-Bike, SUV Crash on Roscoe Blvd., in North Hills

Dallas Howard, 16, was Struck by SUV in Fatal Crash
NORTH HILLS, Calif. (July 23, 2026) — A 16-year-old boy identified as Dallas Howard died when he was hit by an SUV on Wednesday morning near Vista Middle School on Roscoe Boulevard in North Hills.
The fatal traffic accident occurred around 10:23 a.m. on July 22nd at Roscoe Boulevard and Noble Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The teenage boy suffered severe injuries and died at the scene. Police say he was not wearing a helmet and his homemade bike was powered by an engine similar to a lawnmower one.
Vigil Held to Honor Victim of E-Bike Accident
The circumstances leading up to the tragic accident were not disclosed, but friends of the victim gathered last night to remember the teen who was just riding his electric bike when tragedy struck.
Detectives are piecing together what happened and they say the driver of the SUV is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
