3 Injured in Rollover Crash

FRESNO, Calif. (June 5, 2023) – Three teenagers were injured Saturday in a Fresno rollover crash on Highway 99 near Central Avenue.

The two-vehicle collision occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 3rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officers responded to the collision on the southbound side of Highway 99.

Investigators believe the drivers of a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a Toyota pickup truck were both traveling southbound on Highway 99. The Chevrolet was in the number two lane and the Toyota was in the number three lane, police said.

The driver in the Chevrolet reportedly swerved and side-swiped the Toyota. One of the vehicles reportedly went off the embankment and rolled through an electric fence before it hit two motorhomes at RV Country.

A teenage girl riding in the pickup truck was thrown out during the crash. Also, a 17-year-old boy driving the pickup truck and a second teenage passenger suffered moderate to major injuries.

All three teenagers were taken to a hospital for further treatment.
