Tehachapi Fatal Car Crash at State Route 58 and State Route 202

At Least 1 Killed in Car Accident on Barstow-Bakersfield Highway Friday

Tehachapi, CA (January 15, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal traffic collision that occurred in the area of State Route 58 and State Route 202 Friday.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., CHP logged an accident involving at least one passenger vehicle. For reasons still unclear, the car crashed at the transition road of Highway 58 and Highway 202.

First responders found at the scene multiple occupants ejected from the vehicle. Per CHP dispatch, one person ended up overthrown onto the roadway.

When paramedics arrived at the crash site, they immediately rendered aid to all the injured parties. Following an evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person died as a result of the wreck.

The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, the conditions of other parties involved in the catastrophic incident have not been revealed thus far.

Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine the precise circumstances that led to the deadly car crash in Tehachapi.
