2 Airlifted After Tehama County Crash on Highway 36 Near Hogsback Lake
TEHAMA COUNTY, CA (December 26, 2020) – Two were airlifted after a car crash along Highway 36 in Tehama County on Saturday afternoon.
According to an article published by Action News Now, officers received a call about the accident shortly before 3 p.m. It happened between 7 Mile Creek and Hogsback Lake at Mile Marker 50.
The California Highway Patrol said the incident happened when a driver was attempting to pass another vehicle but ended up in the gravel.
Rollover Collision Near 7 Mile Creek
The motorist tried to correct, however, both vehicles went off the road at the north shoulder. One car rolled over and came to a stop on its roof as a result of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and attended to two people who suffered minor to moderate injuries following the crash.
An air ambulance transported both patients to the hospital for treatment. CHP did not release their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced the roadway to shut down due to the accident. Authorities are still determining the cause of the collision.
