1 Killed, 2 Injured in Tehama County Crash on Highway 32 Near Deer Creek
TEHAMA COUNTY, CA (November 9, 2021) – A crash killed one person and injured two others on Highway 32 near the Deer Creek Bridge in Tehama County.
According to the Action News Now and ABC 7 News, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:30 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said at least two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason on Highway 32 in Tehama County.
2 Vehicles Collide
One of the cars involved then went over the embankment, near the Deer Creek Bridge, upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene, eight miles east of the Butte County line.
They confirmed that one occupant died as a result of the collision. Medical personnel soon treated two other people for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Highway 32 to shut down for a time following the incident.
The cause of the fatal Tehama County crash is still under investigation.
