Car Crashes into Driver and Island Restaurant
TEMECULA, California (May 7, 2015) — Two people suffered minor injuries Thursday morning when a car crashed into the side of an Islands Restaurant after a collision with another driver at Verdes Lane and Margarita Road, according to a press release by the CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department.
The traffic accident was reported about 11:16 a.m. The driver of a late-model blue Lexus RX 350 sport utility vehicle allegedly ran through a red traffic light and struck the driver of a white Toyota Highlander, according to a report by Valley News. The Lexus then crashed into the side of the Islands Restaurant.
Police and firefighters responded to help those involved in the crash. The building suffered moderate structural damage.
The two people injured declined transportation to a local hospital at the scene.
“Hopefully those hurt in this crash soon recover from their injuries,” said Attorney James Johnson. “Many times people don’t realize how badly they are hurt until the following day when the pain sets in. It’s important to seek medical help when this happens and call a personal injury attorney.”
Police are heading up an investigation into liability for this crash.
