3 Bicycle Riders Injured in Temecula Crash on Rancho California Road
TEMECULA, CA (January 28, 2023) – Several bicycle riders were hospitalized after a crash on Rancho California Road in Temecula.
The Riverside County Fire Department first logged the accident on Friday evening. Officers reported the collision on January 27 at around 6 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck three bicycle riders for an unknown reason in Temecula. The driver hit them in the 31900 block of Rancho California Road.
Bicyclists Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found all three bicyclists hurt. One of them sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
The second cyclist obtained moderate injuries while the third survived with minor injuries. Medical personnel then rushed all three patients to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of Rancho California Road to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Temecula bicycle crash is still under investigation.
