TEMECULA, California (December 17, 2015) — A semi-tractor trailer truck collided with other vehicles Thursday morning on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway, at the Temecula Parkway Highway 79, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The traffic accident was reported at 5:26 a.m. between at least three vehicles including a black Mercedes S550, a gray SUV and the big rig truck. One person appears to have been trapped in the SUV which was in the No. 2 lane. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to free the individual and assist all those potentially injured in the crash.
One person was standing outside of their locked vehicle and was unable to get their vehicle moved off the roadway.
Police are investigating the crash to determine liability and will issue a report with their findings.
