TEMECULA, California (August 22, 2014) – The drivers of a blue Honda sedan and a large truck collided Friday morning on the southbound Interstate 15 Escondido Freeway at Rancho California Road, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
About 9:16 a.m., a witness called CHP officers and told them that a white box or big rig truck turned into the front of a blue Honda sedan and the car crashed into the back of the truck. The called told police a woman driving the vehicle was trapped and the car was smoking. The Honda’s front-end was smashed in after the crash and people were walking around.
Paramedics were called to assist those injured in the accident.
“Police will investigate the exact cause of this crash and issue a report determining liability,” said Attorney James Johnson. “Those injured in this crash may have a valid claim for compensation.”
