3 Injured in Sunday Crash at Butterfield Stage Road and Calle Chapos

TEMECULA (October 9, 2017) – Three people were injured Sunday evening, October 8, following a three-vehicle collision at Butterfield Stage Road and Calle Chapos.

According to the Press-Enterprise, the accident took place at approximately 7:20 p.m. involving an Infiniti, an Audi, and a Chrysler PT Cruiser.

Preliminary reports shared that two occupants in the Infiniti were transported to a hospital following the crash. Furthermore, the driver of the Chrysler was reportedly ejected from the vehicle and also taken to a hospital with major injuries.

Per the official report, the five occupants in the Audi suffered minor injuries or were unharmed.

California Highway Patrol officers mentioned they are still determining the precise cause of the crash.

Shortly after the accident, Calle Chapos was closed from Walcott Lane to Butterfield Stage while Butterfield Stage was closed from that point north to Murrieta Hot Springs Road to give way to the investigation.
