TEMECULA (November 22, 2016)- According to the Inland Empire News, a DUI crash resulted in major injuries Saturday, November 19th, at Ynez Road and Overland Drive.
The collision involved a Maserati and a Toyota SUV at 5:12 a.m.
Reports disclose that Oscar Lopez, 32, the driver of the Maserati, blew through a red light as he drove at a high rate of speed westbound on Overland and struck the Toyota.
Lopez’s passenger who has not been identified by name suffered major injuries and was rushed from the scene to a trauma center.
The driver of the Toyota incurred minor injuries and was treated at the scene. It was unclear if the motorist was taken to a hospital.
Temecula police officials determined that Lopez had been driving under the influence and was arrested at the scene.
No other details were provided.
