Involved Vehicle Drives Away from Scene
TEMECULA, CALIFORNIA (April 5, 2016) – An elderly was injured following a hit and run crash on Margarita Road Monday morning, according to Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner.
The accident happened at around 8:00 a.m.
Preliminary record stated that an elderly female pedestrian was suddenly struck by an oncoming vehicle just north of Rustic Glen Drive.
The force from the smash was significant, resulting in severe trauma to the elderly.
The elderly was likely transported to a nearby medical facility. But no further update was provided on her condition.
The Riverside Sheriff’s press release mentioned that the involved automobile fled the scene without stopping to render aid or identify himself.
Authorities noted that the suspect vehicle was possibly a 1990 prime black Mustang or a similar built car. The suspect vehicle was missing its engine hood and has a bright green paint in the engine compartment, as narrated in the press release.
The authorities continue to do their best in tracking the felon and serving justice to the victim.
