At Least 1 Injured in Collision on Highway 79 Thursday
Temecula, CA (June 3, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a suspected hit-and-run car crash that occurred on State Route 79, also known as Winchester Road.
On Thursday, at approximately 5 p.m., a vehicle crashed into the back of another car in the northbound side of the highway. The collision took place in the 39140 block of SR-79 in Temecula. At this time, the make and model of the automobiles involved in the wreck have not been discussed thus far.
Responding emergency crews found only one car at the crash site. Paramedics checked the conditions of all possible victims, and later confirmed at least one person sustained injuries from the incident.

Meanwhile, officials said the other motorist involved in the accident fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation on the car crash in Temecula is underway.
