4 Killed in Templeton Crash on Neal Springs Road Monday
TEMPLETON (June 29, 2020) – A traffic collision along Neal Springs Road killed several people on Monday night.
According to an article published by NBC Bay Area, officers received a call about the fatal accident at approximately 9:30 p.m.
The incident began when a car was passing a slower moving vehicle on eastbound Neal Springs Road, east of Deer View Lane. The area is where the road transitioned into a series of curves.
California Highway Patrol said the male driver attempted to step on the brake and steer after the roadway slightly started to rise. The car was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time.

The speeding vehicle went off the road and slammed into an oak tree nearby. Officers added that the car rotated around the tree in the process.
All four occupants, including the male operator, died as a result of the crash. One of his three female passengers was completely ejected from the rear seat upon impact.
CHP affirmed that all parties involved were wearing their seat belts when the wreck occurred. Their names have not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, officials forced Neal Springs Road to shut down from Creston Road to Berry Patch Lane for several hours following the wreck. The tragic incident remains under investigation.
