Pedestrian Injured in Templeton Hit-and-Run at Main Street and 8th Street
TEMPLETON, CA (September 3, 2021) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash at Main Street and 8th Street in Templeton.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Friday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision shortly after 9:30 p.m.
CHP determined that a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Templeton. The driver hit the person at the intersection of South Main Street and 8th Street.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Templeton Middle School. They found the victim hurt as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel took the patient to the Twin Cities Community Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of Main Street and 8th Street to shut down following the accident.
The cause of the Templeton hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
