Teresa Bowles, 45, Injured in Humboldt County Head-On Crash on Highway 101
HUMBOLDT COUNTY (November 28, 2019) – A woman hospitalized after traffic collision along Highway 101 that killed one person and injured another Wednesday.
California Highway Patrol said 45-year-old Healdsburg resident Teresa Bowles was a victim in the tragic accident on November 27. It happened at about 12:50 p.m. north of Garberville.
The incident began when an SUV was going south on Highway 101, south of Salmon Creek Road. For an unknown reason, the car spun out of control.

According to an article published by The Press Democrat, the SUV crossed into the northbound lanes and then struck head-on the Ford Excursion driven by Bowles.
Paramedics responded to the site and rushed Bowles to Jerold Phelps Hospital in Garberville to be treated for minor to moderate injuries.
Meanwhile, medical personnel pronounced the man operating the SUV dead at the scene. His male passenger was taken to St. Joseph Hospital with major injuries.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile the cause of the incident, which happened during heavy rainfall and hail, remains under investigation.
